Who is E-Law?
E-Law is a limited liability company established in accordance to the laws of Egypt that deals with the legal and technical aspects of digital and cyber relations, with the help of an elite group of specialists, providing integrated legal services for its clients.
Specialized services in a modern world
Egyptian and international markets are increasingly dependent on digital transactions. In Egypt that is best illustrated with the launch, in March 2022, of the National Governement Payment System, which is now considered one of the most important modern infrastructure projects, sponsored by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE).
In recent study by the CBE indicates that the number of mobile phone wallets has surpassed 32 million accounts, with a total number of transactions estimated at 71 million, at a value of more than EGP 90 million. 33 million Meeza cards were issued in 2023. 177 companies operate in financial technology, with an total revenue reaching EGP 62 billion, and a transaction volume of EGP 342 billion by the end of 2022.
In this rapidly evolving field, many disputes have arisen, in boardrooms and in front of national courts. The chances of cross border disputes are infinitely higher, no longer limited to cases of intellectual property violations, defamation or blackmail. The digital world has become an integral part of our lives, strongly present in all legal disciplined, with digital evidence needed for many rulings.
